Welcome to The Drugs Awareness Campaign (DAC)

DAC organizes fun activities such as leisure activities, entertainment & sporting events at weekends and in the school holidays for young people and their parents. At all DAC events, children and parents will be educated about the dangers of drugs misuse, legal & illegal drugs, tobacco, alcohol and sexual awareness.

Events organized will be designed and aimed at a target age group of 8-14 year olds & their parents/guardians.

By combining fun and education, this will not only reduce boredom in the holidays, which is the No.1 reason why children turn to drugs in the first place but will also provide healthy alternative choices at affordable prices and help promote inspiration.

EDUCATION

All DAC events will be held in Drug free environments and information on drugs and sexual awareness will be supplied by relevant local agencies.

FUNDING

To fund our events, DAC have created a Discount Card Scheme.

DAC Discount Cards, can be bought by everyone from the age 8 upwards and can be used in various businesses (outlets) who support us. The DAC Discount Card will also guarantee discounted entry to all 8-14 year olds and their parents/guardians who attend any of our DAC events.

ADDITIONAL SUPPORT

DAC have already gained support from well known personalities ("teen heroes") and will continue in doing so, to help promote the Drugs Awareness Campaign and to get the message out there that .

Join the DAC Discount Card Scheme

We are looking for retail and leisure outlets to join the DAC Discount Scheme.

DAC have designed the Discount Card Scheme as an independent means of raising much required funds for event organisation and to be able to subsidise entry fees for young attendees. The Scheme is seeking support from local leisure departments, shops, restaurants, sports clubs and other leisure activities. The DAC Card will provide the card holder with, on average, a 10% discount on every transaction made and will expire at the end of November of each consecutive year. The DAC card will be available for everyone to purchase from ages 8-80 via schools, newsagents, universities and colleges, public stands and listed outlets!
