What does the Drugs Awareness Campaign do?

DAC provide healthy alternatives to occupy young people's free time in the school holidays and make popular leisure activities more affordable and accessible.

Organized events such as: sports tournaments, youth dance parties, ice skating etc, are held in drug free environments which young people find attractive to attend.

DAC are continuing to gain support of well-known personalities and performers ("teen heroes") who young people see as role models to help get the message across that:

'Its Cool to be Aware'

Drugs and Sexual Health information are supplied at all our events by local relevant agencies who deal with the target age group of 8-14 year olds and their parents/guardians.

The educational objectives are to reduce the harmful effects of drug taking by educating users about safer ways of using drugs.

Based on latest research, by becoming the authority on drugs information, it will provide a positive message especially to the youth.
